Peter L. Klenk
Peter was raised on a farm located 60 miles north of Minneapolis, Minnesota. While working several jobs to pay for his education, he graduated cum laude and with honors from the University of Minnesota in 1987 and graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1990.
Furthering his study of estate, gift and generation skipping taxation, Peter earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the top-ranked NYU tax program. An LL.M. is an intensive one-year program focusing on a single area of the law that is in addition to the typical three-year J.D. program.
Following a family tradition of military service, Peter served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy JAG Corp. In 1992, the Navy awarded his team of attorneys a Meritorious Unit commendation for providing estate planning services to more than 10,000 service members deployed to the Middle East during Desert Storm/Desert Shield.
After leaving the Navy, Peter focused his practice in the area of estate planning. By concentrating his practice exclusively on estate planning, Peter is able to provide his clients with an understanding of the subtleties, including most recent changes in gift, estate, inheritance and generation skipping taxes.
Since founding his own firm in 1998, Peter’s estate planning practice has flourished. He now represents clients throughout the country, from California and Washington to Maine and Florida. Based in Philadelphia, he utilizes the most modern techniques to provide estate planning services throughout the country. Business is conducted through email, fax, phone, the mail and overnight delivery or in person at the client’s home or at the office of their local professional advisors. Peter is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Minnesota, New York and Florida state bars.
